Sure, it was a painful experience for both her and her husband, but I don't think she was trying to be cruel. I rarely read a book wher...I loved this book, too. I rarely read a book where the author lays it all out there without apology, and it was incredibly refreshing. Plus, she has an uncanny ability to make me laugh even when talking about meat and affairs.
